The continent where I grew up and where I started my first (near) solo backpacking trip at the age of 16. Seeing the photos of my baby face makes me understand why my mom was worried at the time.

Over the years, I have increasingly come to appreciate the rich cultural variety across short distances in Europe, making travelling over land particularly attractive.
